Live Caricatures for Vermeer Corporation

I had the fantastic opportunity to work with Kira Layli, a fantastic caricature artist from Mt Vernon, IA, and draw the Vermeer Family at their annual family shareholder's meeting in Pella, IA.  Here are two pictures of the finished caricatures showing Kira's work and mine.

High School Reunion Caricatures

I recently finished work for a 1979 High School Reunion and did over 120 caricature portraits.  Here is a sample of some of them.  More to follow.

From the Archives of History Dept.

I was looking through some of my old stuff and found a graphic I did for the Burlington County Community College student newspaper "The Word". I was really into graphic arts during this time.  This was published in December 1975.

This second one was completed about a year later for the Mercer County Community College "The College Voice"

Recent Live Digital Caricatures for a Trade Show in Germany

Here are a few samples from a digital caricature event for a trade show in Germany.  These are done in my studio in a "live" sense.  People at the trade show take pictures of attendees, then post the pictures onto a shared network drive.  As soon as the pictures are posted, I draw them on my Wacom tablet and post the caricature onto the shared network drive.  I recently did 55 caricatures in about 2 days!

More and More Orlando Caricatures from February 2011

Some more Digital Caricatures from the Orlando Trade Show

New Banner

I thought I'd update my banner for 2011.  I made it out of caricatures and other cartoons of work I have done over the past year.  Sure my timing is a little late, but what can I say.  I also updated the look with one of the supplied blogger templates. Hope you like.

Shoe Caricatures

A recent client asked for caricatures of shoes.  I said okay.  What the heck.  We've heard of car-icatures, pet-icatures, now it's shoe-icatures. You can see them at the following website:  http://www.domaintools.com/about/

Digital Caricatures from Orlando Trade Show

These are all created in my studio,at home.  My client posts the people onto a network shared drive and I provide each caricature in about 10 minutes and post them onto the same shared drive.  They print them out for the people attending the trade show.  It's a great way of attracting business to your trade show booth.

Another Week, another caricature event

This week I supported Hometown Restyling at the Cedar Rapids Home Show in the Cellular Center.
