The Beatles are celebrating 50 years since they were on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. I recall as a kid watching them on our 17" black & white Zenith TV with rabbit ears. It was pretty exciting watching them, because they were new and sounded like nothing anyone had heard before.
During the sixties, when I was growing up as a kid, there was a saturday morning cartoon on ABC, "The Beatles". One of my favorites. It lasted from 1965 to 1967. It was one of the highest rated cartoons on Saturday mornings. This is my impression of the cartoon characters based on their later years (i.e. Let It Be/Abbey Road). Unfortunately, the network cancelled it as they weren't ready for John & Yoko nude wedding pictures...
